The Computer Science Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at the University of Riau (UNRI) held two Community Service (PKM) programs at SMA IT Al Fityah Pekanbaru on October 29–30, 2025. These activities targeted 96 tenth and eleventh grade students, focusing on improving digital literacy through digital marketing strategies and creating educational websites using Google Sites.

The first program, "Introduction to Digital Marketing Strategy for Students of SMA IT Al Fityah Pekanbaru," was coordinated by a team led by Tisha Melia, B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D., along with members of the Computer Science faculty from the FMIPA UNRI. This training aimed to improve students' understanding of the basic concepts of digital marketing, customer journeys, social media strategies, and creative content creation. The 96 students participated interactively through discussions, Q&A sessions, and practical sessions on developing digital content ideas.

The participants demonstrated high enthusiasm, especially when learning examples of marketing strategies through the TikTok and Instagram platforms. They were also guided to develop relevant content ideas that could be developed in further training. This activity is the first step in equipping students to use social media productively, not just for entertainment but also as a means of education and a creative economic opportunity.

The second program, themed "Empowering Digital Literacy of Students at SMA IT Al Fityah Pekanbaru Through the Creation of Educational Websites with Google Sites," was led by Evfi Mahdiyah, S.Kom., MIT, along with a team of Computer Science lecturers from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Riau. Each student group successfully built a simple educational website containing learning materials, articles, infographics, and links to learning resources. These products provide tangible output that schools can use to support student learning and creativity.

SMA IT Al Fityah welcomed both programs and expressed its commitment to integrating digital media into the learning process. The students also acknowledged the new experience, as for the first time they learned to produce structured digital content, both for social media and websites.

These two PKM activities are part of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Riau's contribution to supporting the development of the younger generation's competencies in facing the challenges of the digital era, while also aligning with the national digital literacy program.
